Who We Are
Built From Experience.
Led With Purpose.
10-42 Project was founded in 2021 with a clear conviction:
No one walks alone.
What began as a response to a critical gap in confidential, judgment-free mental health support for first responders has grown into a statewide movement across Iowa.
We exist to equip, restore, and repurpose first responders and their families through trusted relationships, restorative programming, and faith-anchored community.

why we exist
First responders face repeated trauma, high-pressure decision making, and emotional strain that often go unseen.
Many hesitate to seek help due to fear of stigma, professional consequences, or lack of understanding.
We believe support should be accessible, trusted, and rooted in hope.
10-42 Project was created to provide:
Confidential support
Peer connection from those who understand
Restorative retreats and therapy partnerships
Faith-rooted encouragement
Long-term relational engagement
Equip. Restore. Repurpose.
Everything we do flows through three core pillars:

Equip
Strengthening resilience through
proactive engagement and leadership development.

Restore
Creating space for healing, connection, and renewal.

Repurpose
Helping first responders rediscover identity and long-term purpose beyond the uniform.
The People Behind
the Mission
10-42 Project is led by individuals committed to integrity, service, and sustainable impact.
From our founding leadership to our ambassadors and volunteers, our team reflects lived experience, professional insight, and a deep commitment to supporting those
who serve.
A Mission Bigger Than
One Person
10-42 Project is not built around one event, one leader, or one moment.
- It is built on relationships.
- It is sustained by partnership.
- And it grows because people choose to stand beside those who serve.
