PROGRAMMING
Built Around Three Core Pillars
Supporting first responders and their families through intentional, faith-rooted engagement.
Through confidential peer mentorship, we walk alongside you without judgment. Using our Equip, Restore, and Repurpose framework, we provide the tools to handle the rigors of the job, heal from its impacts, and eventually use your experience to lead and support others.

OUR APPROACH
These pillars shape every retreat, partnership, conversation, and initiative we lead. Supporting first responders requires more than one approach. It requires long-term investment in the whole person.
EQUIP
RESTORE
REPURPOSE

EQUIP
Preparing and strengthening those who serve.
To equip means to prepare, encourage, and provide tools that strengthen resilience and leadership before crisis takes hold. By investing in both current and future first responders, we help normalize conversations around mental health, emotional well-being, identity, and purpose. Equipping is preventative. It builds strength before strain becomes overwhelming.
10-42 Project equips first responders through:
- Speaking at conferences and community events
- Weekly presence at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy
- Leadership development conversations
- Educational dialogue around wellness, faith, and peer support
- Proactive outreach to agencies and departments

Restore
Creating space for healing, connection, and renewal.
First responders carry unseen burdens. Restoration requires intentional time away from the constant demands of service. Whether it’s a multi-day retreat or a single outdoor experience, these moments provide space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect.
OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES
OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES OFFERS:
- Hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors
- Share meals and stories
- Build peer connection
- Step away from daily pressures
- Remember they are not alone
Equine Therapy & Family Support
We are deeply grateful for our partnership with GodSpeed Equine, which provides equine therapy to first responders and their family members at Victory Ranch. Restoration strengthens not only the individual but the entire family.
Equine therapy offers:
- Emotional processing support
- Stress reduction
- Confidence building
- Strengthened family relationships
- A non-clinical pathway toward healing

Repurpose
Helping first responders rediscover identity, calling, and long-term impact.
Service can shape identity, but it should not consume it. Repurposing is about helping individuals recognize that their value extends beyond their badge, uniform, or title. Through mentorship, faith-centered conversation, peer connection, and ongoing engagement. Repurposing is not about leaving service. It’s about serving from a place of strength, clarity, and sustainability.
We help first responders:
- Reclaim balance
- Rediscover purpose
- Strengthen family leadership
- Invest in the next generation
- Use their experience to mentor others
Why Programming Matters
First responders carry a weight most people never see.
The stress, trauma, responsibility, and sacrifice that come with the profession affect not only the individual but their families as well.
10-42 Project exists to ensure that
no first responder walks alone.
Our programming is designed to provide connection, restoration, encouragement, and long-term support through intentional experiences and trusted partnerships.
Strengthening the Whole Person
First responders are often the first to show up for others.
Our programming ensures someone is showing up for them.
By equipping proactively, restoring intentionally, and repurposing identity beyond the profession, 10-42 Project supports long-term resilience — not just short-term relief.
Healthy first responders build stronger families. Stronger families build stronger communities.
Expanding the Reach
As the needs of first responders continue to evolve, so will our programming.
We remain committed to:
- Innovation
- Collaboration
- Sustainable impact
- Faith-centered leadership
Because those who protect and serve deserve support that is intentional, connected, and enduring.
